It's worth looking at the XC metadata services toolkit -- perhaps their schema can inform our design if we introduce FRBR features. This is particularly important if we eventually create a connector to harvest data from the MST into VuFind!

It is now possible to harvest records from the MST using OAI-PMH (see comment on VUFIND-236). This is a step in the right direction, though obviously the bigger challenge remains developing an index tool for XC schema records and, if necessary, adjusting VuFind's schema to accommodate them.
