Requirements

VuFind was developed with the following software packages in mind:

Apache HTTP Server 2.2 or later (2.2.12 or later recommended)
PHP 5.2.x
MySQL 4.1 or later
Java J2SE JDK 1.4 or later
GNU Aspell Library – Optional 1)

The installation documentation will help guide you through the process of installing these prerequisites and setting up VuFind.

1) As of 1.0RC2, VuFind no longer uses GNU Aspell; you may still wish to install this and its PHP plug-in in case it is used again at some point in the future.
