The IEEE Xplore database offers an API that should allow the creation of a full-featured VuFind search backend. See documentation here: https://developer.ieee.org/docs/read/Searching_the_IEEE_Xplore_Metadata_API It may be useful to add this as a new option. |

Looks like a PHP library for using the API is available here: https://developer.ieee.org/PHP_Software_Development_Kit If we do build a VuFind integration, it would make sense to ask the vendor if this could be published as a Composer package to simplify integration. |
