No progress this month.

=== Future of JIRA ===

Atlassian has announced end of life for self-hosted JIRA, which means that VuFind will either need to move to a cloud-hosted JIRA or else switch to a different system. Several options exist:

  * Apply for a free open source account directly through Atlassian
  * Merge into the Open Library Foundation's JIRA instance when membership is finalized
  * Shut down JIRA and use GitHub issues instead

Migrating to cloud hosting may involve some red tape, and deferring until the OLF transition is completed is probably wise no matter what decision we make. Switching to GitHub issues might simplify some things, but it would also result in the loss of a lot of useful legacy information (and the breaking of many links) unless we do some work to patch things up.

Demian welcomes input/opinions. We can continue using the self-hosted version for the next few months while options are analyzed.

=== Future of Travis ===

Lionel Walter has volunteered to help with GitLab setup, and Demian has given him the necessary access to begin. Additionally, Travis has granted the project some extended access, so the transition is less urgent for the moment, at least.

=== Javascript Dependencies ===

Discussion has continued on [[https://github.com/vufind-org/vufind/pull/1799|pull request #1799]] though it has slowed down recently due to the winter break.

=== Psalm ===

No progress this month.

=== Record Versions ===

This is nearly ready to merge; Demian hopes to find time to write some automated tests in the next week or two.

=== Release 7.0.2 ===

VuFind 7.0.2 was released on schedule and no problems have been reported.

==== 2. Formalizing VuFind's Community ====

Following last month's Community Call, the community planning group met again, and Demian wrote a second draft of the governance document based on the discussion. That second draft is now awaiting feedback from the group, which will meet again once everyone has returned from holidays. By the time a third draft is ready, the document should be mature enough to collect broader feedback from the whole community.

==== 3. Video: Internationalization ====

Demian recorded a video about internationalization. It will be shared as soon as editing is completed.

==== 4. Other Topics? ====

Demian has completed his part in the VuFind/open source training course organized by Mohan Pradhan. The students of the course will be assembling a webinar to talk about everything they learned in the coming weeks.
