1. Review of Action Items from Previous Meeting

2. Goal Review

This year's goals:

3. Membership News

David reports that Hajo will likely be unable to continue on the PMC; David himself is also currently unable to commit time due to other obligations, though he may be able to do so in the future.

For now, the PMC does not plan to try to refill the seat, but we can do so if David decides to formally leave the group (as opposed to his current indefinite hiatus).

4. Documentation

Maintenance Plan

Demian has established the popular pages list – please review pages and initial when complete.

Demian has made significant progress on reviewing popular pages.

Points for discussion:

Chris is still working on developing the outdated pages report.

Page Updates

Demian and Mohan should update the DOAJ page and create a NepJol page based on recent experiments.

Work is still pending on the PubMed Central “open data sources” page. Mohan also plans to contribute documentation related to integrating SubjectsPlus (which recently had example XSLT import configs added to the project) and Moodle (which is still being researched).

Website Accessibility and Updates

Chris' improvements have been merged. Discussion: do we need to do more accessibility/marketing work to consider that goal completed?

Chris may make some more improvements in future, but we can consider this year's project complete.

5. Fundraising

Prior to the meeting, Mohan shared by email a first draft of a book he is hoping to use as a fundraising tool for the project.

Mohan would like to use the VuFind® logo on the books and treat VuFind® as the publisher. He would also like VuFind® to sign contracts related to the ownership of the content. The Open Library Foundation does not have prior experience with publishing, and it is unclear whether there may be legal expenses related to contract review. Peter offered to work with Demian to investigate these issues with OLF.

6. WOLFcon / Summit 2024

André reports that the Summit schedule is nearly finalized and registration will open soon.

7. Possible Future Actions

Some other possible items for the future:

8. Next Meeting Date

Demian will be unable to attend the scheduled August 20th meeting. Discussion: should we move or cancel it?

Consensus: move to August 13th.

Other Items

None this month.
