VuFind Developers Call Minutes: July 31, 2018

• VUFIND-1265 - This older ticket covering new Summon API features has been addressed, with enhancements to be included in release 5.1. (Some features are still not being used at the moment, until need arises to justify the work).
• VUFIND-1290 - This ticket discusses the Solr limit warnings introduced in release 5.0; a solution has been documented on the Starting and Stopping Solr page.
• VUFIND-1291 - This ticket reports some bugs related to list editing; they have been fixed and fixes will be included in 5.0.1.
• VUFIND-1292, VUFIND-1293 - These tickets document some new Summon API features that could be used to build recommendation modules. Vote if you are interested.
• VUFIND-1294, VUFIND-1295 - These tickets report some OAI-PMH-related bugs that have been fixed in time for the 5.0.1 release.

• #1217 - merged - Work to resolve VUFIND-1265 (new Summon features).
• #1218 - in progress - Work in progress on Summon record persistence (VUFIND-1288). Proof of concept is working, but Demian is waiting for feedback from others.
• #1219 - in progress - Work in progress on using BrowZine's DOI API to add useful links.
• #1220 - merged - Improvements/bug fixes to the way environment variables are handled in shell/batch scripts and custom SolrMarc Java.

No news, apart from minor bug fixing.

Some FOLIO installation issues that interfered with our last round of experimentation at Villanova have been resolved. We plan to try again soon.
