VuFind Developers Call Minutes: August 28, 2018

Attending: Leila Gonzales, Chris Hallberg, Demian Katz

• VUFIND-1296, VUFIND-1298 - Both of these support requests have been resolved without the need for any core code changes.

• #1223 - merged - Bug fix to ILSAuthenticatorFactory (use service name instead of hard-coded class name).
• #1224 - in progress - Improvements to VUFIND_HOME determination in shell scripts.
• #1225 - merged - Minor HTML encoding bug fix.
• #1226 - merged - Minor SierraRest ILS driver fixes.

Still waiting for SolrMarc updates before releasing.

No news.

Demian and Chris met with Ex Libris representatives to discuss the state of the Alma driver. Everyone seems happy with it so far, but a few possible optimizations have been suggested to improve performance. These will be incorporated into a future release.

Tod has been devoting some time to this; the browse handler Java requirement has been raised to Java 8. More work will be forthcoming, and will be discussed in the pull requests on the handler.

Registration is now open. Demian is still accepting talk proposals.

Villanova has upgraded their web design; they now have live Channels (though it's just using default settings for now – will be customized later).
