VUFIND-1363 raises the possibility of changing the way we do browsing; if this is feasible, it might render other browse handler work unnecessary. If anyone has time to investigate, please volunteer on the ticket.

Demian is still putting the finishing touches on this feature, but the work is nearing completion.

All of the possible features raised during the roadmapping session have been captured as JIRA tickets with the Roadmap2019 label. Please vote/comment on any that are important to you, and we will do our best to prioritize future work based on votes. Also please comment if you can devote resources to resolving any tickets.

The VUFIND-1356 JIRA ticket is for brainstorming call improvements.

Proposed immediate changes:

• Rename from “Developers Call” to “Community Call” to be more inclusive (you don't have to be a developer to attend). Already implemented.
• Switch to a monthly schedule, meeting on the first Tuesday of each month.
• Instead of including JIRA/pull request reports in every meeting, these will be sent out in a newsletter on the last Tuesday of each month. Selected issues that require discussion can be brought up on the following week's meeting, but this will save a lot of wasted call time.
• A recurring feature of future calls will be a tutorial portion, where a topic is discussed in depth and a recording is made for future reference.
• Move more technical conversations to the end, to improve value for non-technical attendees.

All changes were approved and will take effect with the next call.

• Theme Customization
• Local Code Modules

The Eastern time zone will change from Daylight to Standard time before the next call. Be sure to adjust your calendar accordingly if your own time zone changes on a different schedule.

Mohan is currently working on the next release of his LiveDVD, which will incorporate Pazpar2. He is running into some problems with Unicode handling in Pazpar2; Demian will make an introduction to IndexData to see if the problem can be resolved.
