1. Development Planning
Newsletter Highlights
The June, 2022 Newsletter was discussed.
Possible Laminas Deprecations
No news. Progress has been slow due to the focus on release 8.1.
Citation Style Language
Work needs to continue on pull request #1324, but Demian has not had time in the past month to make further progress.
Release 8.1 Planning
The release should go out on schedule; apart from some pending translations, there is currently only one unresolved ticket/PR, and this work may be postponed to 9.0 as it is of low priority and risks may outweigh rewards at this stage.
Mario mentioned that some members of his team will be helping with translation – he suggested that people should check the translation project board and see if they have any colleagues who can help with languages that do not currently have active volunteers.
Theme Improvements
No news. Progress has been delayed by summer holidays, etc.
Authority Data Enhancements
Progress has continued on pull request #2422.
2. VuFind® Summit Update
Summit registration is now open.
3. Other Topics?
The Project Management Committee will be discussing the format of the Community Call later this month to brainstorm ideas on making the most of this time. Please feel free to send ideas with any member of the group if you have some to share.
