Agenda

1. New/Updated JIRA Tickets

  • VUFIND-177 - Daniel Aineah has posted a patch to allow multiple facet selection (OR rather than AND) based on a configuration setting. Demian plans to take a closer look at this soon.
  • VUFIND-382 - Till has posted an updated timeline visualization patch here; Demian will examine shortly to see if it is ready to be committed.
  • VUFIND-426 - Tuan has contributed a patch (Blueprint theme only) which implements Javascript-based tabs on the record view. Please take a look and contribute votes/comments if you would like to see this committed or if you run into trouble.
  • VUFIND-440 - Demian has corrected this minor labeling error by updating the offending string in some language files and removing it from others. The missing string will be re-added when all of the language files are updated for the next release.
  • VUFIND-443 - This ticket is a reminder to build better tools for locating public favorite lists. Feel free to post ideas or volunteer to start building something.
  • VUFIND-444 - A new recommendation module using the Europeana API.
  • VUFIND-445 / VUFIND-446 - Some initial experiments with geographical data in VuFind from the National Library of Ireland team; please test and comment if interested.
  • VUFIND-447 - A complaint that the upgrade process doesn't automatically rename vufind.ini if the MySQL database has a non-default name; Demian will address this in the next release's upgrade tools.
  • VUFIND-448 - A suggestion about making VuFind's URLs case-insensitive.
  • VUFIND-449 - This is a duplicate of VUFIND-128 (Too many boolean clauses in course reserves module) and has been closed.

2. Solr 3.x Update

Still waiting for a SolrMarc release – no news yet.

3. Architecture Improvements

Villanova's new GA, Chris Hallberg, has begun assisting with VuFind 2.0 conversion. His first project is porting over recommendation modules (TopFacets is already done). His schedule does not currently overlap with these calls, but perhaps he will join us at some future date.

4. New Mobile Theme

5. Cart Functionality

6. Other Topics?
