VuFind Developers Call Minutes: March 29, 2016

1. Development Updates

JIRA Tickets

  • VUFIND-1157 - This reports a login bug caused by an interaction between ChoiceAuth, Shibboleth and CSRF checking. A fix has been committed.
  • VUFIND-1158 - This tracks a minor Windows-specific Solr 5 bug that causes log files to be saved to the wrong directory; Demian has submitted a PR for a fix and hopes that a future Solr release will correct the problem.
  • VUFIND-1159 - This includes a Horizon ILS driver fix; Demian will review (and likely commit) soon.

  • #637 - merged - Refactoring of book bag Javascript to be more self-contained.
  • #638, #639, #646 - merged - Various Javascript/lightbox fixes.
  • #640 - merged - More translations.
  • #641, #644 - merged - Fix for VUFIND-1157 (above).
  • #642 - merged - Don't try to load a record with an empty ID.
  • #643 - in progress - Configurable encryption algorithms.
  • #645 - merged - Fixed bug related to keepalive mechanism and on-demand session behavior.
  • #647 - in progress - Fix for hidden filter functionality.
  • #648 - in progress - Improvements to ILS status lookup logic.
  • #649 - in progress - Typo correction (trivial, but needs review).
  • #650 - in progress - Improved backward compatibility with Solr schemas predating author improvements.
  • #651 - merged - Improvement to text domain parsing (for greater flexibility when translation string happens to contain domain separator).
  • #652 - in progress - New configuration setting for Multibackend ILS driver (specify directory for ILS configurations).

2. Development Planning

Code Freeze Coming

The code freeze for release 3.0 is coming on Monday, April 4th. Any new functionality for the release needs to be finished up this week!
