1. Development Updates
JIRA Tickets
- VUFIND-1245 - This ticket tracks progress on making the AJAX item status functionality more error tolerant (right now, if one item in a batch fails, the whole batch fails).
- VUFIND-1246 - This ticket reports a bug in the behavior of the “retain current filters” checkbox; this will be fixed in release 4.1.
- VUFIND-1247 - This ticket is a duplicate of VUFIND-637, requesting user customization features for VuFind.
Pull Requests
- #1026 - in progress - Work on new styling for search boxes.
- #1029 - merged - Fix for VUFIND-1244.
- #1030 - merged - Composer improvements (to ensure compatibility with older PHP versions)
- #1031 - in progress - Work on adding “historic loans” to account section (optional, of course).

2. Development Planning
Image Metadata API
No news.
Improved Use of Permissions
This has been merged to master, though some details may still need to be tweaked before the 4.1 release; please test and report any problems.
Front End Updates
Chris is making progress using CSS grids to solve the responsive search box problem that has been bothering us for a couple of years – his new pull request should allow the box to move around without requiring two search boxes in the markup.
Next feature in progress: account menu AJAX (to put information into user's header to notify them of important account status items like holds, etc.).
Also some progress on using Hunt to load statuses on demand.
