+Atlassian has announced end of life for self-hosted JIRA, which means that VuFind will either need to move to a cloud-hosted JIRA or else switch to a different system. Several options exist:
+  * Apply for a free open source account directly through Atlassian
+  * Merge into the Open Library Foundation's JIRA instance when membership is finalized
+  * Shut down JIRA and use GitHub issues instead
+Migrating to cloud hosting may involve some red tape, and deferring until the OLF transition is completed is probably wise no matter what decision we make. Switching to GitHub issues might simplify some things, but it would also result in the loss of a lot of useful legacy information (and the breaking of many links) unless we do some work to patch things up.
+Demian welcomes input/opinions. We can continue using the self-hosted version for the next few months while options are analyzed.

+Following last month's Community Call, the community planning group met again, and Demian wrote a second draft of the governance document based on the discussion. That second draft is now awaiting feedback from the group, which will meet again once everyone has returned from holidays. By the time a third draft is ready, the document should be mature enough to collect broader feedback from the whole community.
