Membership Levels and Benefits
The VuFind® project prides itself on providing a valuable free tool to the global community, and there is no cost to use the software or participate in its development. However, institutions and users who find the tool valuable and have the means to contribute are encouraged to provide financial support in order to ensure its long-term sustainability.

Levels
You can support the project in a few ways:

| Donor | individual/organization | Any amount (one time) | • An entry in the donor list. |
| Backer | individual/organization | US$24-1199 per year | • An entry in the backer list. • One representative of your organization will be signed up for a special supporter newsletter and will be able to join a special supporters-only Q&A/discussion session with the Project Management Committee during the annual VuFind® Summit. • Free or discounted services from participating partner organizations. • Note: If your support lapses, your entry will be moved to the donor list. |
| Sponsor | individual/organization | US$1200 or more per year | • An entry in the sponsor list. • A sponsor badge on the Support page and/or your logo on VuFind®'s home page. • Up to three representatives of your organization will be signed up for a special supporter newsletter and will be able to join a special supporters-only Q&A/discussion session with the Project Management Committee during the annual VuFind® Summit. • Free or discounted services from participating partner organizations (including free training for up to three members of your organization). • Your organization's name can be listed as the sponsor of a new VuFind® feature each year (in commit message and release notes). • Note: If your support lapses, your entry will be moved to the donor list. |
| Registered Service Provider | commercial entity | US$1000 per year (negotiable for lower-income countries) | • Use of the “Registered Service Provider” logo. • Expanded entry in the Professional Support list. • Promotion of your services on social media (by request). • Referrals (based on qualifying criteria). • Certification for contributions of code or other assets (documentation, services, etc.). • Non-voting seat on the Project Management Committee. • Acknowledgment and on-screen logo during annual VuFind® progress reports (VuFind® Summit or equivalent). |
The project looks forward to working with you, but reserves the right to reject entries linking to spam or inappropriate content.
