Committer Invitation Letter

Hello [name],

Because of your ongoing engagement with the VuFind community, you have been nominated to become a Committer, and the Project Management Committee has voted to approve your nomination.

If you choose to accept this nomination, you will be granted commit access to the VuFind GitHub repository, which will make it easier for you to participate in the review and merging of pull requests, a critical part of the process of VuFind's development. You will be expected to follow the rules and guidelines established in the VuFind Governance Document, which you should read carefully.

Becoming a Committer does not come with any specific time obligations or other expectations, apart from compliance with the community's rules. You can spend as little or as much time as you wish in support of the project. However, be aware that Committers will sometimes be requested to perform code reviews, and if you are unable to help at any time, it would be appreciated if you could at least communicate your lack of availability so the work can be delegated to others.

Thank you for your contributions to VuFind so far and for your consideration. If you wish to accept the nomination, please provide your GitHub username so that access can be officially granted.

- [representative of the PMC]
